STIHL has been continuously expanding its portfolio of battery power tools since 2009. Today, we offer high-performance solutions for professional applications and demanding private users. In doing so, STIHL relies on a high level of vertical integration: in addition to the batteries, the company also develops and manufactures the high-performance EC motors for its battery tools itself. STIHL has set a new milestone in 2026 with the new ALLPRO cordless system with innovative high-performance batteries.

STIHL battery power tools become more powerful with every generation. What’s more, our lithium-ion batteries are not only energy-saving powerhouses – they can also communicate: Intelligent control ensures that the power tool and battery always work in the “green zone”. And the future will be even smarter, for example with predictive maintenance and remote diagnostics.
We facilitate innovation
When it comes to topics for the future, we give our all. In Waiblingen (Germany), at our state-of-the-art STIHL center of excellence for battery and electrical technology, specialists work together in small, agile, cross-disciplinary teams. This approach means we develop hardware and software together, in one of the world’s most powerful electronics laboratories for handheld forestry and garden equipment. This allows us to ensure from the outset that our innovations fulfill the STIHL performance promise of cutting-edge technology “made by STIHL”.
