STIHL nombra a sus mejores proveedores de 2023
On July 10, 2024, family-owned company STIHL named its five best suppliers for 2023. One company also received an award in the special category sustainability.
STIHL has awarded the best among its worldwide suppliers for over three decades. The Supplier of the Year award recognizes suppliers that demonstrate outstanding performance in terms of quality, technology, innovation, service, and value for money. The award ceremony was held at the Brand World of STIHL in Waiblingen. It was in keeping with a long-standing tradition that has seen more than 120 suppliers recognized for their contribution to the success of the STIHL Group since 1990. Martin Schwarz, Executive Board Member for Manufacturing and Materials, emphasized the importance of the award-winning suppliers in his speech. “Your outstanding service, reliability, and tireless commitment make you a valuable partner for us, and not just in challenging times. It is our firm belief that we can only successfully navigate the current challenges we face with strong partners by our side.”
The five Suppliers of the Year 2023 are:
· Arnold Umformtechnik GmbH und Co. KG (Forchtenberg-Emsbach, Germany)
Manufacturer of fastening systems and precision parts
· HANS KOLB Wellpappe GmbH & Co. KG (Memmingen, Germany)
Manufacturer of corrugated cardboard and printed packaging
· Omni Specialty Packaging (Shreveport, USA)
Manufacturer of special fuels and lubricants
· Schwäbische Härtetechnik Ulm GmbH & Co. KG (Ulm, Germany)
Provider of heat and surface treatments
· Schwabenprint GmbH (Deizisau, Germany)
Provider of print products and direct mail services
thyssenkrupp Presta AG named best Sustainability Supplier of the Year 2023
STIHL introduced the Sustainability Supplier of the Year award last year. Through this award, the family-owned company recognizes suppliers who are particularly committed to sustainability. “Making sustainable decisions today lets us not only ensure the success of our businesses, but also contribute in the interest of society and the environment,” emphasized Martin Schwarz at the award ceremony. This year's award went to steering systems manufacturer thyssenkrupp Presta AG (Eschen, Liechtenstein). Key factors that won this supplier the award include its switch to carbon-free production, the use of secondary raw materials from recycled waste, and the efficient use of waste heat, residual energy, and cooling water for air conditioning and production.
With the Supplier of the Year and Sustainability Supplier of the Year awards, STIHL aims to underscore the high level of cooperation with its partners and the importance the company attaches to long-term and trusting business relationships. The award is also an incentive for all suppliers to continue contributing to the success of all participating companies in the future.
